Since 1945, the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) has brought young people and books together across Australia through CBCA Book Week every year. To commemorate the 2022 theme, Dreaming with Eyes Open, the Albertus Magnus Learning Centre prepared a book quiz, a House based book trolley race as well as various contests and craft activities, including a photo booth for students and staff. Award winning Australian author, Kirsty Murray also visited Siena College and held a creative writing workshop for select students.
It was a glorious week celebrating books, the love for reading and Australian children's authors and illustrators. The energy and enthusiasm had been amazing! Thank you to all Learning Centre staff for putting this together.
